The new digital price negotiation feature enables dealers to close significantly more deals

  • AUTO1.com launched a new feature that allows digital negotiations between sellers and buyers directly on the platform.

Berlin, 28.09.2021 - AUTO1.com, Europe's largest wholesale platform for used cars, has launched a digital negotiation feature to make used car trading even more efficient and less time-consuming. This new functionality allows sellers and top bidders to digitally and anonymously negotiate the final price of a car quickly and directly within minutes.

If an auction ends with an offer below the expected sell price, the seller can now send a counter-offer to the highest bidder via AUTO1.com. The buyer can then react directly to the new offer. This is especially interesting if the highest bid is slightly below the seller’s expected price.

The buyer will have 24 hours to accept or reject the counter-offer. The buyers can also actively negotiate and send a new offer to the seller that must be better than the original bid. The seller then has 24 hours to react and eventually accept or reject this offer.

All offers are submitted digitally via the AUTO1.com platform within a few clicks without further communication between the dealers. If the buyer and seller do not agree on a new final price, the seller can easily submit the car to a new auction.

Instead of starting the sales process again because the seller is not satisfied with the highest offer, the seller can simply ask the top bidder to increase his bid.
